Local Law Office Continues to Invest and Grow with Community

BLB Law announces new, larger office location in Monticello

After a year-long process of renovating an old vacant one-story building on Broadway in Monticello, NY, Billig, Loughlin & Baer, LLP (BLB) is proud to announce that it can now call 461 Broadway its new headquarters.  The 5,100 square foot office building will house BLB and M.L. Zager, PC, a collection law firm.

“Like many of the buildings on Broadway, ours was long-since vacant in downtown Monticello,” said Jacob Billig, of Billig, Loughlin & Baer.  “We worked hand-in-hand with Catskill Hudson Bank, the Village of Monticello and the Sullivan County IDA.  The efforts of Catskill Hudson, the IDA and Village officials were crucial in successfully getting through the renovation process, and we can’t thank them enough.  My partner, Joe Loughlin, and I are local and we are a part of this community and want to continue to grow here.  The opportunity that presented itself with this property made it a prime location for us to continue to grow and expand our office in the County.  We are proud to have invested our money here and be part of Monticello’s revitalization.  We are optimistic that Sullivan County will have a positive economic future.”

The building’s interior underwent a complete renovation using all local labor and vendors, and a majority of locally sourced materials.  The Resnick Group was lead in the construction with contractor Andy Meade, security specialist Scot Bedik and architect Joe Hurwitz.  In the middle of the project, Jim Buckman joined the BLB team and carried the project to a successful completion.  Architect David Rosenberg also worked on the team. The new office will allow BLB to continue to expand its practice, from additional attorneys and support staff, to additional practice areas of law. The layout was designed around a modern, open floor plan, more conducive to workflow, which promotes better communication and organization so that BLB can serve their clients better than ever.

Fully equipped with state of the art secure servers, energy efficient air handlers and a top-of-the-line security and video surveillance systems, as well as upgraded conference rooms were also part of the extensive overhaul.

In addition to interior renovations, the building’s exterior was beautified with new signage, plants and landscaping to improve curbside appeal and to help revitalize this section of Broadway.

Billig, Loughlin & Baer, LLP, located in Monticello, NY and Lyndhurst, NJ, offers legal and business counsel to its clients in the areas of real estate, land use development and environmental law, corporate law, accident and personal injury law, criminal law, insurance defense and litigation. Their attorneys have 20-30 years of legal experience, as well as strong managerial and executive level experience in business.
