Construction on the new Walmart in Napanoch, kicked off after four years of lawsuits and delays. BLB’s Jacob Billig is Walmart’s local attorney. Billig, who has an extensive background in real estate and land use, provided counsel to Walmart to secure approvals in the Town of Wawarsing.
The 132,000-square-foot, $8 million supercenter, which will include groceries, should be opening at the largely abandoned Napanoch Valley Mall site by June 2013.
The Walmart should provide between 200 and 250 full- and part-time jobs with pay starting at more than $10 per hour.
